# Accessible UI & Navigation Toolkit — Quick Start

Controller-friendly navigation and accessibility building blocks for your existing uGUI menus.

## Requirements and scope

- UI system: Unity UI / uGUI; examples use TextMeshPro
- Editor baseline: Unity 2022.3.62f2; check the marketplace for the shipped version
- Input setup: EventSystem with a compatible input module; legacy StandaloneInputModule examples included
- Included: C# source, example scenes, reusable prefabs, and offline documentation

This is a uGUI toolkit. It does not provide accessibility certification or an operating-system screen reader. Input System-only integration requires project-specific validation.

## Setup

1. Install uGUI and TextMeshPro, then import Assets/AccessibleUINavigationToolkit.
2. Open Scenes/AccessibleUIPrototype.unity or Scenes/ConsoleGamepadDemo.unity.
3. Add an EventSystem and compatible input module to your own scene. Add AutomaticNavigationGroup to a group of Selectable controls.
4. Add a FocusIndicator and an AccessibilityManager, then connect the presentation components your menu needs.
